Frequently Asked Questions
Answering the most frequently asked questions around our weekly workshops and school holiday programs.
If you can’t find the answers to your questions, not to worry! Get in touch with us today with your enquiry and our team will be in touch with you soon.
What if my child doesn’t like it and I have paid for the full term?
As with any commitment – sometimes it takes a few weeks to get used to the way we teach and what we want your child to learn.
Can any child join or do they have to have a social or emotional issue?
One in 5 children will have some need to see a counsellor in their lives – so this program is very much for prevention as well as a cure.
Can parents watch or participate?
Parents are more than welcome to sit in our first class with their child, but through our experience your child will independently learn better without your presence. Also other parents, as a rule, do not like other parents attending. However, we are aware that some little cherubs need more security than others and we are happy to work with parents on this. Our students come to us to develop their confidence and skills and we have found that when parents attend this can distract all students.
If my child is sick or we need to go away can we make up a class?
YES – absolutely, you can choose any day or timeslot you wish to in that term.
Do I have access to the child professionals that run the classes regarding concerns with my child?
Yes – parents are more than welcome when they drop-off and pick up their child to briefly ask the tutors how their child is doing. However, if the subject needs more time then parents are encouraged to make a professional appointment with one of our counsellors.
